BitTorrent (BTT) Pumps 80% in 24 Hours, Nears $1B Market Cap

BitTorrent (BTT) has jumped more than 80% in the past 24 hours, with it getting closer to reclaiming its $1 billion market cap.

The sudden increase in BTT price seems unusual, as there has been no such announcement regarding the project. BTT is the native token for BitTorrent, a decentralized file-sharing platform that is built on top of Justin Sun’s Tron blockchain.

BitTorrent currently has a market cap of $847 million, which touched the $989 million mark earlier today during this pump.

BTT is currently the biggest gainer in the past 24 hours, with it surging nearly 82% and breaking its 14-month high, according to crypto market data from Coinmarketcap.

Crypto analysts have coincided the pump in BTT price with the recent major achievement of Tron, which has reached a milestone of 200 million users. The news was shared by Justin Sun in a Twitter (X) post.

As Tron celebrates reaching 200 million users, I want to extend a special shout out to @Tether_to and its developers. Remarkably, 34,500,061 users on Tron, which represents 17.2% of all our users, now hold #USDT.
